Old Quarry rated one of Best Courses in the Caribbean

Perhaps the best-kept secret in Caribbean golf, the Santa Barbara’s Old Quarry was designed in 2010 by Pete Dye and has quickly become a favorite of golfers in the know. Rated as one of Golfweek‘s Best Courses in the Caribbean & Mexico!

The course is a part of the Santa Barbara Plantation, a 1,500-acre gated community with the course, two marinas and the Hyatt Regency Curacao. Dye designed the holes at Old Quarry G.C. to be as close to natural as possible, with minimal shaping. During a round, you will experience ocean holes, bayside holes, marsh views of a rookery, mountain and valley view holes. The wind is constant, especially on the two opening holes along the ocean.

A challenge to players of all skill levels, the course meanders between the stunning blue Caribbean Sea, the slopes and hills of Tafelberg Mountain and the sheltered bay known as Spanish Water.

It’s a striking setting that will at times make you forget you’re in the Caribbean — until you retire to the resort’s marvelous second-level lobby bar.
