On the first Sunday of the year, The Biggest ‘unorganized’ Boat Party – Fuik Day – of the Caribbean is held in Fuik Bay. On this day, people tend to bring pretty much anything that floats, from huge yachts to inflatable dinosaurs. This year the event is on January 3rd, 2016.
This one-day-event started with just a few people relaxing to celebrate the new year, now it’s one of the biggest events known on Curacao. At previous editions, big names such as DJ Chuckie, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, The Partysquad, Martin Garrix and many more have manned the turntables on their boats and even huge stages on the water.
You need to make sure that you get on one of the boats or just bring your own of course. Enjoy the good music, great people and lots of drinks. Just bring yourself and your floating; there is definitely no better way to celebrate the fresh start of a new year!
