Overview
A sloping bottom that gradually shows more coral growth the deeper you go. Moray eels are hiding in between the corals as well as lobsters. Scorpionfish blending in with their surroundings and peacock flounders on the sandy bottom. Playa Manzalina, received its name from large stately manzalina (manchineel) trees. Be aware that the fruits and leaves from the Manzalina trees on the beach are poisonous. This dive site lies in the southeast of San Juan and can be reached by dirt road on rough terrain. The entrance into the water is easy making it a shore dive for all levels of experience.
