In 1970 the Jewish Cultural Museum was established adjacent to the synagogue. You will find a display of many interesting and unusual objects, such as a Torah scroll brought by the first Jewish settlers to Curacao, illustrating the culture and history of the Jewish community. Many of these objects are still in use in the Synagogue today. The “Mikvah” or Ritual Bath was lost for generations but uncovered in a recent restoration. It is now the first thing which draws the visitor’s attention as he enters the Museum’s patio.
